Salary Structure
Selected candidates will receive a salary under Level-6C of the 7th Pay Commission.
- Pay Matrix: ₹ 35,700 – ₹ 1,13,100/-
- In addition to the basic pay, candidates will be entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other allowances as per J&K UT rules.

A. Domicile:
The candidate must be a Domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. A valid Domicile Certificate must be produced at the time of Document Verification.

Relaxation: Ex-Servicemen are allowed to deduct the period of service from their actual age, provided the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit by more than 3 years.
Physical Standards & Endurance Test
Since this is a uniformed service post, candidates must clear the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET).
A. Physical Standard Test (PST):
- Male Candidates:
- Height: Minimum 5’-6”
- Chest: 32” (Unexpanded) and 33½” (Expanded)
- Female Candidates:
- Height: Minimum 5’-2”
- Relaxation: A relaxation of 2 inches in height is applicable for candidates belonging to the Gorkha Community and Bot Tribe.
B. Physical Endurance Test (PET):
This test is of qualifying nature only:
- For Male Candidates:
- Long Race: 1600 meters in 6½ minutes (6 min 30 sec).
- Pushups: 20 Pushups (one cycle of up and down counts as one).
- For Female Candidates:
- Long Race: 1000 meters in 6½ minutes (6 min 30 sec).
- Shot Put (4 Kgs): 14½ feet in three attempts.

Selection Process – JKSSB SI Telecommunication Recruitment 2026
The selection procedure will consist of the following stages:
- Written Examination:
- Type: Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
- Language: English only.
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks (1/4th) will be deducted for every wrong answer.
- NCC Bonus Marks: 5% for ‘C’ Certificate, 3% for ‘B’ Certificate, and 2% for ‘A’ Certificate.
- Physical Standard Test (PST):
- Shortlisting Ratio: Candidates will be shortlisted for PST based on written exam merit in a ratio of 1:6 (6 candidates for every 1 vacancy).
- Physical Endurance Test (PET):
- Candidates who qualify in PST will undergo PET. It is mandatory to pass this stage.
