Eligibility Criteria (Age & Education) – South Central Railway (SCR) Apprentice Recruitment 2026

To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must meet the following criteria as of the closing date (11 April 2026):

Selection Process

The selection for the SCR Act Apprentice training is entirely merit-based. There will be NO written test or viva-voce (interview).

Merit List Preparation: The merit list will be prepared by taking the average of the percentage marks obtained in the 10th Class (minimum 50% aggregate) and the ITI examination. Both will be given equal weightage.
Tie-Breaking Rule: If two candidates secure the same marks, the older candidate will be preferred. If the date of birth is also identical, the candidate who passed the 10th-class examination earlier will be given priority.
Document Verification & Medical Fitness: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and must meet the prescribed medical standards.
